Comcast NBCUnites
Comcast NBCUnites was launched by NBCUniversal to empower employees in making positive changes to our community. Hillary Smith, the Executive Vice President of Corporate Communications asked our creative team to design a logo that incorporates three pillars representing Community, Voices, and Access.
The task was to create a logo that reflects both the Comcast and NBCUniversal. Because each company has its unique design sensibility, it was difficult to find a perfect solution at first. However, with all of the designers and directors getting involved at one point and through countless rounds of presentations, my design was recognized and chosen. I kept typography from each company and locked them in a way that it is visually balanced. I came up with three chains of different colors interlocking with each other displaying as a symbol of a link as a way to represent the three pillars.
This initiative grew fast launching multiple events every year making a positive impact globally and became an overarching brand for Service Week, Season of Service, Summer of Service, MCM Global Giving, Virtual Volunteer Fair, TalentLab Serve, Dollars for Doers, and Arbor Day. I continue to direct designers, production artists and a copywriter in delivering all of these event assets each year.
